And for any of you I haven't talked to or have not seen my facebook page, I am going to Utah State. I am really excited! I found out today that I received a Research Fellowship, so I have an opportunity to do undergraduate research now. Really exciting!

Senioritis
I knew it would be bad. I didn't know it would be THIS bad. I knew I would get sick of doing homework. I didn't realize I'd be so sick of the students, teachers, and infrastructure of the building in general. Honestly, I have stopped caring about anything pertaining to high school. I do enough to get by in my classes, but I already have registered for college and received my scholarship, so why bother putting in that extra effort? I have spent four years trying to get all these people at school to like me, but in two months I'll never see them again, so why bother? Wow, that sounded anti-social, but you get what I mean, right? I am just done!!

Lauren,
ReplyDeleteYou're posts are so fun to read. I know exactly what you meant by "senioritis", I think I got a super, uber bad case of it right around the middle of my FRESHMAN year. I hated high school. I went to 3 different schools in 2 years. To be honest, meeting you is probably one of the few things that got me through; that and the fact that I only had two classes, creative writing and welding, with my DAD!! You're right about not really seeing the people from high school anymore, after you graduate. It's like nothing really ever mattered. The clicks, emos, punks, whatever else there was, it doesn't matter anymore after high school. You're the only person from OHS that I still talk to. The ONLY one! I don't think anyone even knows I'm in the Army, haha, or Afghanistan! I'm proud of you lady, and everything you've accomplished. Keep up the great work. You're doing amazing things. Also, I sincerely hope that your back is healing and that it is in tip-top shape in no time!
